When do your classes meet?

A standard course allows 10 hours of absences: 8 MWF classes (1 h 15 min each) or 5 TT classes (2 h each). For summer courses, labs or any course with a different limit, pick Custom and enter what your instructor told you.

Install Absences

iPhone or iPad

  1. Open this page in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button . If you don't see it, tap ⋯ first.
  3. Tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
  4. Open Absences from your home screen and sign in there. Signing in here in Safari doesn't carry over.

Android

  1. Open this page in Chrome.
  2. Tap the menu ⋮ at the top right.
  3. Tap Install app (on some phones it's Add to Home screen), then Install.
  4. Open Absences from your home screen.

Attendance policy

Students are expected to attend and participate in all of their courses throughout the term, including the first week. Those who fail to do so may be administratively withdrawn from individual courses of the College. This may affect the students’ scholarship and financial aid eligibility.

A student is considered to have successfully attended a course if he/she has attended 75% of the course lectures. Thus, for a typical ACT course with 42 hours of contact time, the maximum number of absences stands at 10 hours per course. This corresponds to 8 sessions for courses taught on MWF and 5 sessions for those taught on TT. Please note that absences are counted on an hourly basis.
